Gerald O’Collins – ‘Jesus Christ has Changed Death’

3.50

‘Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who
have died’ (1 Corinthians 15:20).
‘For the world, I count it not an inn, but a hospital, and a place
not to live in, but to die in’ (Sir Thomas Browne, Religio Medici).
A recent film about the commandant of Auschwitz and his
family, The Zone of Interest, has proved heartbreaking. Genocide
is always a frightful crime. A meticulously planned genocide
which aims at eradicating God’s people from whom came Jesus
Christ remains uniquely evil.
