The Synodal deliberations on the future of the Catholic Church are
drawing to a close, albeit in the most challenging times: (i) Climate
change which is creating havoc in many parts of the world; (ii) The
global Covid 19 pandemic that brought the world to its knees; (iii)
The current spate of wars across the globe, employing the most
sophisticated weaponry; (iv) A global society that is increasingly
under the control of an emerging secular cyber universe, managed
by a small number of immensely wealthy, unelected, private
individuals whose information technology networks transcend
current global regulatory competences.
